The Festival
Starting in Edinburgh in 1947, there are now more than 250 fringe festivals worldwide. Thessaloniki Fringe Festival‘s aim is to connect Greek artists with the worldwide Fringe community and to present international talent to local audiences. Its goal is to create a welcoming community, to encourage artistic expression, foster collaborations & provide new experiences for audiences.
The 3rd edition ran from 8-12 October 2025, with a programme of 19 shows from 10 countries, in 8 venues, representing various genres (including theatre, comedy, music, physical theatre).
The dates for the 4th edition are 7-11 October 2026.

OPEN CALL - LIVE ART SHOWCASE
Thessaloniki Fringe Festival 2026 invites students, graduates, independent and self-taught creators from all artistic backgrounds to submit proposals for short performance art works.
The showcase is open to personal, experimental, strange, fragile, playful, research-based, unfinished, or daring ideas exploring body, presence, space, storytelling, movement, sound, live action, or hybrid artistic forms.
The showcase offers an open and supportive platform to share work with audiences, fellow artists, and international festival professionals, while becoming part of the wider ThessFringe community and networking events throughout the festival.
