A woman, uncertain how many times she has attempted suicide, undergoes an internal reckoning about the act. In exile, she draws conclusions about her life and reimagines suicide as a deliberate, conscious performance before an audience. Just before her planned jump, she begins to reflect on her childhood and the socio-economic and cultural codes inherited from her mother. While analyzing her mother’s life, she simultaneously searches for meaning in her own. Death, for her, is a legacy passed down. The boundary between action and inaction blurs, forming a paradox, much like the enigmatic symbols in a coffee fortune, open to endless interpretation.
