An urban female swimmer is looking for the sea / a woman is on a quest for her identity in a fragmented, absurd, and ridiculous world. A lost postdramatic theatre performance for those who don't know what they're looking for.
In the summer of 2018, the swimmer is captured for the first time looking for the sea by photographer Dimitris Nikolaou in a cemetery in Serifos. From then until today, there have been numerous photographic recordings of her journey. Forced by the first quarantine in 2020, the swimmer becomes three-dimensional and is filmed looking for the sea at her home.
In the summer of 2022, she makes her first public appearance at the "Legs Performing Arts Festival" in Athens with a very short 12-minute performance entitled "postdramatic". Her second public appearance takes place in the autumn of 2022 at the "10th Handmade and Recycled Festival" at "Technochoros Fabrica" in Athens with the 20-minute version of " postdramatic". She shares the first prize of the festival's performance competition with Iris Fousteris and together they continue a short and sweet journey of 10 performances under the title "Marginalia | back to back soli". Shortly afterwards, together with soundscape artist, musician and visual artist, Stratos Sterianos, they repeatedly searched for the sea in the urban landscape of Athens. They did not find it.
The swimmer is still looking for it.
The full show will be performed in Greek 17 & 19 May and in English 18 May.

Μία αστική κολυμβήτρια ψάχνει τη θάλασσα/ μία γυναίκα αναζητά την ταυτότητά της σε έναν κόσμο αποσπασματικό, παράλογο, γελοίο. Μία χαμένη περφόρμανς metaδραματικού θεάτρου για όσ@ δεν ξέρουν τί ψάχνουν.
Το καλοκαίρι του 2018 η κολυμβήτρια φωτογραφίζεται για πρώτη φορά να ψάχνει τη θάλασσα, από τον Δημήτρη Νικολάου, σε ένα νεκροταφείο της Σερίφου. Από τότε μέχρι σήμερα υπάρχει πληθώρα φωτογραφικών καταγραφών του οδοιπορικού της. Στη συνέχεια και με αφορμή την πρώτη καραντίνα του 2020, η κολυμβήτρια γίνεται τρισδιάστατη και βιντεοσκοπείται να ψάχνει τη θάλασσα στο σπίτι της.
Το καλοκαίρι του 2022 η κολυμβήτρια κάνει την πρώτη δημόσια εμφάνισή της στο φεστιβάλ «Legs Performing Arts Festival» στην Αθήνα, ως μεγάλη πρωταγωνίστρια της μικρής παράστασης με τίτλο «μεταδραματικό», συνολικής διάρκειας 12 λεπτών. Η δεύτερη δημόσια εμφάνισή της πραγματοποιείται το φθινόπωρο του ίδιου χρόνου στο φεστιβάλ «10th Handmade and Recycled Festival» του «Τεχνοχώρου Φάμπρικα» στην Αθήνα με την 20λεπτη εκδοχή του «μεταδραματικού». Εκεί, μοιράζεται το πρώτο βραβείο του φεστιβαλικού διαγωνισμού περφόρμανς με την Ίριδα Φουστέρη (και τη δική της 20λεπτη «(Α)utopia 2.2») και συνεχίζουν μαζί μια σύντομη και γλυκιά διαδρομή 10 παραστάσεων υπό τον τίτλο «Μαρτζινάλια | back to back soli». Λίγο μετά, μαζί με τον παραθεριστή ηχητικών τοπίων, μουσικό και εικαστικό, Στράτο Στεριανό, έψαξαν επανειλημμένα για τη θάλασσα στο αστικό τοπίο της Αθήνας. Δεν την βρήκαν.
