Fringe Awards & Opportunities

Chosen by local cultural peers for outstanding creativity and performance, the Peers’ Choice Award honors the show that truly stands out. The winner receives a prize sponsored by the Spanish Embassy Athens.

The Fringe Italia Off Award is presented by Fringe Italia Off, which includes Fringe Catania Off and Fringe Milano Off. The award offers an invited production the opportunity to present their work at a future edition of one of these festivals, under the hosting festival’s terms. Both festivals take place in October.

The Voilá Theatre Festival Award is presented by Voilá! Theatre Festival in London. The award offers an invited production the opportunity to present their work at a future edition of the festival, under the festival’s hosting terms. It aims to support international exchange and showcase diverse contemporary performance to UK audiences. The festival takes place in November.

The Šibenik Dance Festival Award is presented by the Šibenik Dance Festival in Croatia. The award offers a dance production a curated place in the programme of the following edition. The festival takes place in July and includes a performance fee. The award is open exclusively to dance performances and aims to support contemporary dance and international artistic exchange.

The ARTBOX Fargani Award is presented by the local theater ARTBOX Fargani. The award offers a selected production a curated place within the theatre’s upcoming programme, under mutually agreed terms. It aims to support artistic development and foster long-term collaboration between artists and the venue.

The Avlaia Theater Award is presented by Avlaia Theater in Thessaloniki. The award offers a selected production a curated place in the theatre’s upcoming annual programme, under mutually agreed terms. It aims to support ongoing collaboration and provide artists with a stable and supportive performance context.

The SoHo Playhouse NY Award is presented by SoHo Playhouse in New York. One selected production is invited to perform as part of the Fringe Encore Series, with direct costs covered by the SoHo Playhouse. Performances operate on a ticket-split basis, providing artists with both exposure and revenue opportunities in a professional New York theatre setting.
