Thessaloniki Fringe is a dynamic and diverse performing arts festival that celebrates creativity, experimentation, and independent expression. It provides a platform for emerging and established artists to showcase innovative and boundary-pushing works in a supportive and inclusive environment. The festival is characterised by its non-traditional and unconventional approach featuring performances & workshops, that challenge traditional norms and explore new artistic territories.
You can expect a rich tapestry of performances encompassing theatre, dance, physical theatre, circus, music, comedy, family shows, spoken word, multimedia, and more. The festival aims to foster a sense of community among artists and audiences alike, promoting dialogue, collaboration, and creative exchange.
As attendees, you can expect to immerse yourself in a wide range of thought-provoking, bold performances that push artistic boundaries and spark conversations. From experimental theatre pieces to interactive installations, Thessaloniki Fringe Festival offers an opportunity to engage with art that challenges, intrigues, and ultimately expands your horizons.
We encourage audiences to buy tickets online via the website in advance. For any enquiries you can contact our box office team preferably via email boxoffice@thessfringe.com.
Before the festival you can buy tickets online via the website www.thessfringe.com and over the phone.
During the festival you can buy tickets and pay by card only at our festival hub located in the city centre. Box Office hours 17:00-22:00.
You can also buy tickets for all the shows before each performance at each of the venues, paid by card only (no cash).
All tickets for ThessFringe are e-tickets, which you can print out or show on your phone.
Based on our terms & conditions we don’t issue ticket refunds. For special occasions and based on ticket availability we might be able to exchange tickets for other days of the same show. We are only available to exchange tickets prior to the festival as during the festival the box office team is particularly busy. You can not exchange tickets for a different show. Contact our box office team for any enquiries.
- Concessions: General concession prices are available to students, those receiving benefits, the unemployed, senior citizens (over 65), D/deaf and disabled people.
- Personal Assistant tickets: Personal Assistants and carers are entitled to free tickets when attending an event with someone, who would not be able to attend an event without support. Please email boxoffice@thessfringe.com to receive a Personal Assistant ticket.
- Group of 4 tickets: Some events are offering a 5% discount to those booking in groups of four people. See individual events for details.
- Group of 10 tickets: Some events are offering a 10% discount to those booking in groups of ten people. See individual events for details.

Thessaloniki Fringe Festival features a diverse array of performances across various artistic disciplines. Theatre, dance, comedy, physical theatre, circus, family shows, music, storytelling, spoken work, multimedia art, cabaret, clown are some of the genres represented at the festival.
You can expect performances that challenge norms, provoke thought, and offer fresh perspectives on creativity and expression. The diverse range of performances ensures that there’s something for everyone, encouraging attendees to explore new artistic horizons.

The festival lasts for five days, and in 2025, it will take place from 8–12 October.
We try to include family shows in our programme. There are shows specifically for kids and shows suitable for the whole family. You can find information about age restrictions on each show page.
Each year in we announce an open call for performers approx. eight months before the festival. Anyone can apply and there is no application fee. You can find out more in the Artists section of our website.
Some of the shows will offer a group discount, which you will find at the ticket checkout. Note, that other shows might not have any group discount, since this is up to the artists and the venues to decide.
There might be some special discounts for specific shows. The discounts usually work with a promo code that you apply in your basket when you are purchasing tickets via the website. If you need help or have any enquiries you can contact our box office team.
Every year our programme varies. While some performances are in Greek, some others are in other languages with surtitles, some are in English and some non verbal.
The best way is to follow us on Facebook or Instagram (@thessfringe) and sign up to receive our newsletter. If you have bought tickets online please keep an eye on your email for confirmation and update emails during the festival. Make sure you check your spam folder.

Unless stated otherwise, photography and video recordings are prohibited during the performances.
ThessFringe issues one complimentary ticket per show/performance to the assistants of disabled (both visible and non-visible) audiences who would otherwise be unable to attend an event. Please contact the box office for requests.

In case we have a free or donation-based event in the programme, you’ll find this information on the What’s On page of our website, which will be visible once the programme is announced.
